Tree Cutting

The day after Thanksgiving we headed out to start our new tradition of cutting down a Christmas tree. We met some friends for lunch at Red Robin and then we all headed to the Double Four Tree Farm. We got old fashioned saws and headed into the woods to find our tree. We cut it down and realized it was very lop-sided and had a big hole in it. The owner was gracious enough to sell the one we cut and let us pick a new one. After what seemed like an hour of walking in circles, we picked a new tree and Jesse and Tyler sawed it down while Ryan played in the mud and Morgan and I watched. We put it in a trailer and the kids got to ride in the back while they took it to be bundled. Jesse and Ron put the tree in our truck and we were on our way to decorate our first REAL tree. Love the smell!
