Our sweet little Ryan had to have surgery on Tuesday to be re-circumcised. We left the house bright and early at 5:15am to be to Swedish Hospital in Seattle by 7am. Grandpa Jerry was nice enough to take the day off so he could get Tyler off to school and stay with Morgan. After checking in to the hospital we had to wait for Ryan's surgery that was scheduled at 8:45am. The hospital had a great playroom so Ryan had a fun time playing and wasn't too traumatized that he hadn't eaten in hours. Of course, the case before us ran behind so Ryan's surgery got pushed back to 10:30am. We were nervous about Ryan going under anesthetic and the feeling worsened after the anesthesiologist came in and told us he'd need a breathing tube and a caudal (similar to an epidural). I was able to take Ryan into the operating room and hold him while they administered the gas to put him to sleep. It was really hard and emotional for me. An hour later, the surgery was done and we were able to go into the recovery room as he woke up. He sat straight up and looked around and didn't even cry. Ryan is such a strong, happy, good baby - he amazes me. We were on our way home an hour later and he has done great. We only had to give him pain meds twice and he's healing nicely. We're relieved it's finally over and so glad our little guy is healthy and happy!

Such sweet pictures. Somehow it always seems harder on the moms to go through those things. I'm glad he is feeling better and hope you are too. *hugs to both*
So glad this is over and you don't have to think about it anymore. What sweet pictures - the last one of you and Ryan especially. And the one of Jesse walking after Ryan in the hall. Again, I just adore his smile. Makes me happy just to look at him.
