We stayed in Longview this weekend and helped move my Grandma Ruth into an assisted living home. She has a cute little apartment there and will meet lots of new friends. The kids enjoyed helping with the move and we were happy to spend some time with my grandma.

i'm sure it t'was bittersweet occas, but nice of you to help it go as smoothly as possible:) once chris passed an assisted living ctr that had banner advertising "tours daily" & he thought it would be funny to just show up without potential relative who'd be resident...guess it's a different story when you have a loved one in their care, but looks like nice place if it's time?! hope she is @ peace with idea-what a cute lil' lady!
Ha! That sign in the elevator makes me laugh!! I can just see a grouchy old person jabbing their cane at the buttons. Damned elevator. :) What a sweet memory for your kids.
