On Sunday we attended Tyler's 1st grade teachers retirement party at the Pagoda in Point Definace Park. Tyler wrote a letter and helped me make a scrapbook page to put in a book that was presented to her at the party. When we arrived, Mrs. Hedges grabbed Tyler by the hand and said "I'm glad you're here, I really want to introduce you to my daughter". Her daughter recognized him from stories and told Tyler she hopes her sons grow up to be just like him. Mrs. Hedges holds a special place in Tyler's heart and he in hers. We will miss her next year. Tyler enjoyed seeing and running around with some of his buddies. It was a warm day and the grounds there were beautiful.

Pretty gardens...looks like a nice party. Nice that all the families were invited. She will really be missed. But what a wonderful start to school Tyler has had because of her. He'll never forget most of what she taught him.
