Insect Safari

We went to the Insect Safari at the library today and got to see an amazing collection of insects that a man from Seattle has been collecting from around the world for 27 years. The kids even got to see live bugs up close and touch them. Tyler's favorite was the live scorpions that turned flourescent under a black light, Morgan liked the colorful butterflies and Ryan was fascinated by the live stick bugs. The tarantulas creeped me out! Did you know that crabs, shrimp and lobsters are considered bugs??? Pretty fascinating stuff I tell ya.

Amazing collection. Cool for the kids to see all that.
