Memorial Day Weekend

For once, we had really nice weather over the 3 day Memorial weekend. We took the kids fishing at Lake Kapowsin. It's only about 15 minutes from us and was just stocked with thousands of trout. Grandma Joann watched Ryan and the rest of us fished all morning. We caught 7 trout and 1 catfish. The kids enjoyed reeling in the fish, but didn't want to get too close to them.

We worked in the yard most of the weekend planting trees and putting a strip of grass on one side of the house. We did a bunch of weeding (ugh!), layed bark and planted flowers and some decorative trees by the front door. It is looking nice, but we still have a few more weekends of work cut out for us. I love working in the yard and love to see everything come together and look nice.

Tyler got the "player of the game" hat at his last baseball game. He gets to sign it and wear it until the next game. He had a couple great hits into the outfield. Grandpa got a nice pitching machine and it definately helped his hitting! Good job Gramps!

The fishing looked fun...the house and yard looks great. That strip of grass is lots nicer than the bark. And of course Tyler is doing great at baseball...he hits good and fields good. We love watching him and Grandpa loves helping to coach. Really feels like deja vu for us.

Way to go Tyler! The house looks great and I don't blame you I hate dealing with fish.
