Only in Washington do we bundle up, pack up the umbrellas and head to the zoo in the pouring down rain. Yep, we did! We ended Spring Break with a fun trip to the Point Defiance Zoo and Aquarium despite the rain and hail storms. It poured, but we still had a great time seeing all of the animals and we stayed mostly dry. Ryan really enjoyed the animals and giggled everytime he saw one move.

Tyler is VIP this coming week in his class so we spent a day making him a picture poster and an "all about me" poster to share and display in his classroom. We also made him a poetry box and put 5 things of a common theme in it....he picked dirt bike stuff. He will be sharing his box this week and then writing a poem about dirt bikes. We had fun putting his special projects together and he is really looking forward to all of the fun things he'll get to do this week to celebrate him being a very important person!

Glad you didn't let the rain stop you...looks like fun.
Love the VIP projects you did, Tyler. Call and let me know about how they all went and what everybody said.
Looks like you had a real fun week with all the activities.Great that you can do all that stuff with the kids. They looked happy.
Ethan is VIP next week...isn't it fun to make all the posters and see how excited they get for a special day about them?
